Calling any and all aspiring or accomplished film-makers; I seek the fruits of your talents.
This is a last-minute, hastily-arranged VIDEO COMPETITION intended to produce a showcase movie to advertise the WoF with in future years.
The Brief:
The Film must be no more than 5 minutes long, no shorter than 3.
The Film must include footage of the WoF 2010 Final on Saturday, June 26th. (The hunt starts at 18:00 MA time, lasts for 3 hours and starts and ends at Chug's Hideout).
The Film should portray:
The road to the final.
The variety of mobs involved.
The scale of the slaughter.
The competitive element.
The joy of victory.
Each of the three finalist teams must be identified.
No national bias unless toward all teams.
Music: Something inspiring.
Suggestions: Ecstacy of gold by Ennio Morricone, Deaf Forever by Motorhead, Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, Shot by both sides by Magazine... or you decide.
For use of any WoF Graphics either poach them from the forum as best you can or contact our artist; Clam J Boy Jamphrie on EF.
Style: Your choice. Dialogue entirely optional.
The end result should be a short movie that someone who has never heard of EU or the WoF can watch and wonder what the hell they're missing out on. Consider the phrase 'larger than life'
Closing date for entries is the 1st of August this year.
Result will be announced on the 7th of August.
Entries should be in nice and easy Youtube format, although we will consider other mediums, please pm.
That gives you a few days to set up filming the final, then a good month or so to edit a movie together, simple
Collaborative efforts, please indicate how many are involved for splitting of prizes.
If you are going to contact teams to enable better footage 'in the field' please ensure you do not distract or harass.
First Prize: 1000 PED, to be awarded in-game, and the winning film will be shown 'everywhere we can run it' for 'as long as we can'.
Runner-Up: 200 PED, to be awarded in-game.
Judges: Myself, Clam, Rayne Jade. Our decision is final.
