Newbie Oil Rig Field Trip II !

Due to popular demand, we bring you the Newbie Oil Rig Field Trip!

A few days ago, I was inspired by the outcry of a fellow Entropian, in search for a small glance of the Oil Rig...

This event is for the fearless, for both newcomers, hunters and Pkers alike.

In collaboration with many others, I am inviting ALL newcommers or players that would like to join us in the Massive Orange trip to the Oil Rig on...

Saturday January 20th, 2007 at 19:00 Calypso Time at Camp Phoenix...

A few wormholes will be opened allowing many newbies (and other players) the chance to go inside the wormhole and travel to the Oil Rig... Each wormhole will be opened for the amount of 20-25 seconds, allowing as many people as possible to enter….

At this time, I am also asking for a peaceful compromise with all Pkers ...
We will not open fire at any given point, however, if we are attacked, we will stand ground and be forced to return open fire... this is something that we are trying to avoid at all costs but will be a last resort if provoked... last time we had a certain amount of time before fire was opened creating a mass slaughter at the Rig, we will be collaborating with these individuals this year to see if some sort of arrangement can be made to lessen deaths but we cannot offer any guarantees, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

(hunters who want to join the atrox slaughters please pm Arokh or email me at mikahseeker@yahoo.com , there will be a different meeting location for coordinators and hunters/pkers)

This is not a search for free oil, this is only an opportunity for newcommers to see the oil rig under different conditions…

Newcommers- I will not get into any further detail, but please make sure to meet at the time and location above, with an open mind, a courageous spirit and your best orange jumpsuit

. Any optional equipment is recommended but not needed. Spread the word !!!!!! :newbie:

WARNING: The odds of dying are very great in this event, as stated above, keep an open mind, rescue teams will standby in the revival center, we will be taking newcomers and players to nearby cities for safety after the event is over. The duration of the event itself can be anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours, depending on circumstances.

The Afterparty is available only for hunters/pkers/coordinators who help us throughout the duration of the event and will be left secret until the day of event

May I add that when you PM, please give me an idea of what equipment you will be using (armour/plates, weapon, FAP etc). This'll make it a lot easier to sort out well balanced teams. Also if you have a strict preference - such as you're only signing up to help with PKing/Protection rather than the 'trox team, please state that as well.

I'll go!!! What time is that in gmt time and where does it say what calypso time it is anyways? I've never seen the time..

And looking at those screenshots, the layout of the screen on entropia has been greatly improved hasn't it!

It's a week before my birthday aswell.

Ahpro,

When your online, press C, this will bring up the time on the all chat, that time is Calypso Time

. When people say ingame time, calypso time, etc.. usually they will refer to this time.

c might be wrong nowadays, it seems MA changed some keys for newer arrivals
(at least some of my newer disciples told me that x doesn't open the action book (maybe y or z not) and c maybe not for time)
hard to say, but i wanted to warn of it

I was there that time, inspite of the total noob slaughter that ensued, it was a great event. And guarding the noobs from trox (also making sure they wouldn't run into spiders or big bots on the way back to Twin! :laugh:

) was fun and rewarding.

So I'm in for sure again this time.

If you have not bee to the rig, or have only been once, or even go all the time, you have to hit this event

The numbers of people and the amount of OJ's at the rig are intense. A MUST SEE for any Calypsian

well, the event is there to allow some ppl to see the rig for the first time
that worked the last time too
this is the goal, and actually, not that hard to reach
of course, if the goal would be oil from rig for everyone it wouldn't work
but it depends a lot what you see as time waste, actually this is some form of sightseeing, even a guarded one
if you are not for seeing unique places in the game, then this is most likely nothing for you
or if you aren't after rare events (not THAT many wormholes are opened with big announcing)
another reason to come would be meeting some celebrities and most likely some ubers
to summarize a bit
this is a rare event with opened wormholes with celebrities and ubers guarding you on a sightseeing trip
of course, you could sweat this hour or 2 this event will last, this is approx 600 sweat, lets say 800, about 8 ped loss, or depending on your level, about 3 levels going up with hardcore skilling
it is your choice what you do, but in my opinion just watching the wormhole is worth to "waste" some minutes

...well maybe you missed the last, very sucessful one.

Yes many noobs will die, but luckily, death is free in EU.

The main point was to get as many people to the rig as possible, people that would otherwise not make it there on their own.
