When is the next VU?

maybe they just made the picture for fun, but now the response to it has caused a sudden demand for this big "event" they never even planned to do!...

these EU winter games will probably be ready around June! :ahh:
 
The more time passes the less convinced I am that these "games" are actually going to be available to participate in.

At least they advertise.. As MA couldn't find a way to advertise the current game in his state, they make false adds filled with bullshit :)

Looks as if those winter game pics are from the test server. So although not in game yet may well be in the future.

I wonder why they are doing it like that though?:scratch2: I mean why shows pics of whole event which we can't participate in? Did the winter games fail in it's testing stage? When would it be fixed and in game for us to play? Could be a while if they are planning on showing teaser pics for whole event...

Not much is making sense :scratch2: Are we missing something...

Noone's considered those pics are just a shout-out to those competing in the Olympics in Sochi atm ?

The heading on the page is 'fun stuff', not 'future directions', or 'coming event'.

I am sure that is all it is, same as the gnomes were...just some time killing practice by a dev instead of making real advertisement art. or doing something useful. As a professional slacker myself, I recognize the signs of someone goofing around on the job. I would probably do the same thing if I worked at MA, just play with photoshop and surf porn all day (might explain the loot lag).:dunce::wise:

I would LOVE to believe so, but ahhh the egg, taming, (and other things) makes me feel there is nothing to be seen here. I haven't exactly seen any deep puzzles ever be completely fleshed out. lot of great "starts" of ideas. but not much real action.

I accept I may be way way off target (not the first time that would be the case) however I "do not know that I am, or why would I post what I did?" my opinion could be wrong, idk or really care :) in the long run I doubt it will make any difference.

Again this... found out this year the alternative meaning of this "FAP" thing, and here we are, used by MA again as a failed bid at innuendo humor, on their attempt to get some hits on the search engines.

What do they expect, someone to search for "winter games 2014" and stumble on Entropia site? This is the trend related to this particular search compared with a familiar (to us) term:

How can you guys take this and ran with it, expecting something?

Anyhow, as most Entropians enjoys a daring challenge there were also many big smiles and laud laughters in the air, all in all a very happy day!

Blatant lie. As already pointed, the ava is Photoshoped over a mountain in EU (presumably Thule) and no "Entropians" participated in anything. It would be funny, if would not be misleading.

Maybe I'll search for the temporary hill when back home. Maybe I'll also look at AH to see if I can get some ski set. Or maybe not.

But for sure I'll try to watch their page to see if they follow the RL Sochi event just for hits (yesterday 11th was the Lady ski jumping finale). Let's see, maybe Friday's Men Free skating - gay (I'm meaning happy) enough !

MA doesn't communicate much but when they do it's normally at least passable english.

That's just Swedish accent + these things are on Facebook too, so I doubt anything being hacked.

Isn't laud a word which means something along the lines of praise, honour, applaud?

So the avatars involved probably were just happy for something to have worked or maybe fixed?

Indeed Laud is English for praise; it has its root in the latin word Laudo also meaning praise

which is funny because the word praise comes from the latin word pretaire, that actually means price or "to value".

After further thought, maybe it's not hacking at all and it's the new PR firm they've contracted with. But will www.419-PR-Company.ng follow through with their promises of 450,000,000,000 satisfied customers in 6 months? Only time will tell. At least they take convenient wire transfers as payment!

How would you know if it's the right word or not if you have no idea what they are trying to say? for all we know it may be part of some kind of clue.

That link doesn't work. How do you know they have a new pr company? more details please. What is the real name of the new pr company? are you just making this up?

419 is short for a special type of internet (and in old days snail mail) fraud. usually manifesting these days as nigerians needing 10K to transfer out 10M out of the country. 419-pr-company would then be a reference to a fraudulent one.

Today we've been trying out Biathlon. Who could have guessed that skiing & weapons made such a lovely combo Maybe we should introduce skiing in Entropia, this makes for some special hunting!
