That poem is so powerful, and those young Australian soldiers. It cuts deep into my heart. The waste, the f***ing WASTE. We were only there in that shithole to support the USA. And how did that adventure work out.
Because its felt that we more or less have to. We need to support the US in the hope that the US will help us if, or more probably when, needed. Can we count on that? I like US people but I do NOT like the US Government - it does not even look after its own citizens.
Our gutless weak politicians - lets worry about climate change & LGBTQ rights and suchlike. Not costly and so politically damaging stuff like being able to protect ourselves.
